  First, online retail has become a stabilizer in the consumer market. The scale continues to grow and its role becomes more prominent. From January to June, the national online retail sales of physical goods reached 4.35 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%. Among them, the online retail sales of physical goods accounted for 25.2% of the total retail sales of consumer goods in the same period, an increase of 5.6 percentage points over the same period last year. The number of online shopping users nationwide increased by 100 million over the previous year. The number of stores on major online retail platforms increased by 3.8% year-on-year.

  Second, the "e-commerce festival + consumer coupons" strongly promoted consumer replenishment. The Ministry of Commerce and relevant departments held the second "Dual Product Online Shopping Festival", which drove the national online retail sales over 430 billion yuan during the same period, of which the sales of physical goods increased by 33.3% year-on-year, and the product praise rate reached 98%. Many places cooperated with e-commerce platforms during the "Dual Product Festival" and "618", and through various promotional methods such as the issuance of consumer vouchers, they effectively stimulate online consumption and restore market expectations.

  The third is that live streaming has become a new engine for e-commerce development. According to business big data monitoring, in the first half of the year, e-commerce live broadcasts exceeded 10 million, the number of active anchors exceeded 400,000, the number of viewers exceeded 50 billion, and the number of products on the shelves exceeded 20 million. The live broadcast scenes are becoming more and more diverse, and live broadcasts of industrial belts, time-honored brands, intangible cultural heritage, cultural tourism guides, and education public classes have emerged one after another.

  Fourth, cross-border e-commerce has grown rapidly and has a prominent role. According to customs data, from January to May, the total value of cross-border e-commerce retail imports and exports reached 71.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.4%; of which imports were 44.17 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23%; exports were 27.56 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.6%. The e-commerce platform actively assists foreign trade companies to switch to domestic sales, and provides foreign trade companies with promotion, drainage and sales services through the use of flow and model advantages, and has become an important channel for foreign trade companies to expand the domestic market. During the "Dual Product Online Shopping Festival", nearly 10,000 foreign trade factories opened stores on the e-commerce platform to participate in promotions and achieved good returns.

  Fifth, rural e-commerce actively assisted poverty alleviation and rural revitalization. E-commerce enters rural areas and e-commerce targeted poverty alleviation measures have been implemented pragmatically, and the rural online retail market has accelerated recovery. According to business big data monitoring: in the first half of the year, the national rural online retail sales reached 766.85 billion yuan, an increase of 5% year-on-year; of which, the online retail sales of physical goods was 699.9 billion yuan, an increase of 7.3% year-on-year. The online retail sales of 832 national-level poverty-stricken counties nationwide was 68.48 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.3%, which was 8.3 percentage points higher than the national rural online retail sales growth. The national online retail sales of agricultural products reached 193.77 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.7%.
