On July 28, at the construction site of Matsushita Station in Changle, Fuzhou, as the operators laid the last long track in place, the entire track of the national key project Fuping Railway was laid through, laying the foundation for the opening and operation of the railway.

The Fuping Railway is an important extension of the Beijing-Fuzhou High-speed Railway, with a total length of 88.433 kilometers and a Class I double-track railway with a speed of 200 kilometers per hour. There are 6 stations in Fuzhou, Fuzhou South, Changle, Changle East, Matsushita, and Pingtan. Fuzhou and Fuzhou South are existing stations, and the rest are newly built stations.

During the track laying process, the construction and construction units scientifically formulate the construction plan, implement the engineering line management method, uniformly dispatch the traffic, reduce the cross operation, and successfully complete the track laying task. It is understood that the Fuping Railway is scheduled to be operational by the end of 2020, and the time and space distance from Fuzhou to Pingtan will be greatly shortened by then.
