It is noted that when compiling the rating, statistical data from European countries were used on prices for gasoline with an octane rating of 95 as of early July 2020 (for Ukraine and Norway - at the end of May 2020). 

Price changes are calculated in national currencies of countries.

According to RIA Novosti research, Luxembourg topped the list, Russia - in 20th place.

“Luxembourg became the leader of the rating. Residents of this country can buy about 3.2 thousand liters of gasoline for their average salaries. Fuel prices in this country are relatively low, while salaries are among the highest in Europe, ”the compilers of the rating report.

As noted, residents of Russia can purchase about 924 liters of 95th gasoline for their average monthly salaries.

According to the study, Norway took second place with 2.6 thousand liters. The top five also include Austria, Ireland and the UK.

Earlier, the Federal Antimonopoly Service said that in the wholesale segment of the motor fuel market the situation with prices has stabilized, and in the retail segment the price change does not exceed the inflation rate.
