CCTV News: The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced today (25th) that in the first half of the year, the total supply of "vegetable basket" products across the country was sufficient, and the market was generally stable.
Right now, Northeast vegetables are gradually ushering in a mature period. At a vegetable planting base in Heilongjiang, the reporter saw that the sorted vegetables are being loaded onto trucks one after another.
The reporter learned during the interview that the peak season for northern vegetables to be sold in the south has now entered. In order to stabilize the transportation of vegetables from the north to the south, vegetable planting companies have adjusted their planting structure, increased the planting area of exported vegetables, and expanded the cold chain transportation volume to meet the demand for orders while normalizing the epidemic prevention and control.
According to statistics, Heilongjiang Province plans to plant 4.6 million mu of bulk vegetables this year, an increase of 4.5% over last year.
Monitoring by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs shows that in the first half of the year, the supply of grain and important agricultural and sideline products in my country remained stable in quantity and price. The supply of "vegetable basket" products in large and medium-sized cities was not out of stock due to the impact of the epidemic. The national total output of winter and spring vegetables was 170 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2%.
