Dubai Airports Corporation has confirmed its continued readiness to support the increase in the number of scheduled passenger flights for accredited airlines after the reopening of the airspace by the UAE authorities as well as the decision of the Dubai government to allow residents to travel to and from Dubai International Airport (after meeting the appropriate health and safety conditions) starting from June 23 and tourists Starting July 7, 2020.

The Foundation added on its website that instructions will be applied as of August 1, 2020 for all travelers through Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central Airport, noting that all citizens, residents, tourists and passengers in transit must obtain a negative COVID19 certificate before arriving at Dubai International Airport and Dubai Airport World Central.

And she stated that the negative PCR certificates will be valid for up to 96 hours from the time of the test, some passengers may be asked to take another PCR test upon arrival at Dubai Airport, adding: Children under the age of 12 years and children with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt Test requirements.

She advised passengers to contact the airline of their choice before traveling to find out the latest relevant information.

She stated that in order to maintain the requirements of public safety and long distance, all passengers departing from Dubai International Airport are reminded to adhere to the following guidelines, as only those who hold valid travel tickets are allowed to enter the airport terminal and do not go to the airport more than four hours before the scheduled flight date, Wearing protective gloves and a mask for all travelers.

The institution added: Passengers who show symptoms are advised not to come to the airport and seek medical advice, noting that precautionary measures have been implemented throughout the airport to maintain the health and safety of customers and employees. These measures include protective screening glass upon check-in, passport ports, remote heat inspection, manual temperature checking, social spacing marks, and increased levels of disinfection according to international standards set by the relevant authorities.

She explained that all Emirates flights operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport. All other airlines will operate from either Terminal 2 or Terminal 3. Accordingly, all passengers must refer to the airline to confirm their terminal at all times before arriving at the airport.
