London stock market fell on the 24th

  Xinhua News Agency, London, July 24 (Reporter Wang Huihui) The London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks closed at 6123.82 points on the 24th, down 87.62 points or 1.41% from the previous trading day. The three major European stock indexes fell across the board that day.

  In terms of individual stocks, consumer stocks among the constituent stocks of the London stock market led the gains on that day. The top five stocks were: supermarket chain Tesco's stock price rose 2.18%, William Morrison supermarket chain company's stock price rose 1.81%, building materials distributors Ferguson shares rose 1.72%, chemical company Johnson Matthey's shares rose 1.42%, and Pennon Group shares rose 1.38%.

  Financial stocks among the constituent stocks of the London stock market led the decline. The top five stocks were: M&G shares fell 5.95%, Vodafone Group shares fell 5.16%, United Airlines Group shares fell 4.79%, online retailer Ocado Group The share price fell 4.41%, and the insurance and financial investment company Prudential Group fell 4.41%.

  In terms of other two major European stock indexes, the CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France closed at 4956.43 points, a decrease of 77.33 points or 1.54% from the previous trading day; the DAX index of the Frankfurt stock market in Germany closed at 12838.06 points, down 265.33 points, a decrease of 2.02%.
