London stock market rose on the 23rd

  Xinhua News Agency, London, July 23 (Reporter Wang Huihui) The London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks closed at 6211.44 points on the 23rd, up 4.34 points or 0.07% from the previous trading day. The three major European stock indexes were mixed on the day.

  In terms of individual stocks, consumer stocks among the constituent stocks of the London stock market led the gains. The top five stocks were: Unilever's stock price rose 7.88%, software company Sage's stock price rose 6.59%, and the multi-metal international company's stock price rose 6.12 %, the stock price of investment company Melrose Industries rose 5.42%, and the stock price of advertising media giant WPP rose 2.93%.

  Resources stocks among the constituent stocks of the London stock market led the decline on that day. The top five stocks were: energy supplier SSE shares fell 6.30%, information services company Informa fell 5.27%, Pennon Group shares fell 3.74%, and the publishing group Deutsche Elsevier shares fell 3.66%, and Rolls-Royce Holdings shares fell 3.52%.

  In terms of the other two major European stock indexes, the CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France closed at 5033.76 points, down 3.36 points or 0.07% from the previous trading day; the DAX index of the Frankfurt stock market in Germany closed at 13103.39 points, down from the previous trading day 0.86 points, a decrease of 0.01%.
