London stock market fell on the 22nd

  Xinhua News Agency, London, July 22 (Reporter Wang Huihui) The London Stock Market "Financial Times" average price index of 100 stocks closed at 6207.10 on the 22nd, down 62.63 points or 1.00% from the previous trading day. The three major European stock indexes fell across the board that day.

  In terms of individual stocks, resource stocks among the constituent stocks of the London stock market led the gains on that day. The top five stocks were: home furnishing supplier Kingfisher Group rose 14.62%, precious metal producer Fresnillo shares rose 9.59%, Shares of paper packaging company Smurfi Kappa Group rose 2.77%, marketing and business services company DCC's share price rose 2.53%, and Multimetal International's share price rose 2.40%.

  Consumer stocks among the constituent stocks of the London stock market led the decline that day. The top five stocks were: investment company Melrose Industries fell 14.24%, catering and hotel group Whitbread fell 4.14%, and British luxury goods Group Burberry shares fell 4.10%, British Petroleum shares fell 3.83%, Royal Dutch Shell Class A shares fell 3.60%.

  As for the other two major European stock indexes, the CAC40 index of the Paris stock market in France closed at 5,037.12 points, down 67.16 points or 1.32% from the previous trading day; the DAX index of the Frankfurt stock market in Germany closed at 13,104.25 points, down from the previous trading day 67.58 points, a decrease of 0.51%.
