Exports and Imports in June Continue to Decrease Trade Balance Deficit for 3 Consecutive Months July 20, 9:00

According to the trade statistics released by the Ministry of Finance last month and June, Japan's exports fell 26.2% from the same month last year.

Imports were also down 14.4%, and trade has continued to decline due to sluggish global economic activity following the spread of the new coronavirus.

As a result, last month's trade balance, which deducted imports from exports, was a deficit of ¥268.8 billion, marking the third consecutive loss.
