Online banking management for asset management and inheritance New corona measures July 18 11:27

To prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection through sales activities that visit customers' homes, banks have begun consultation services such as asset management and inheritance using an online meeting system.

Since this month, Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank has introduced an online conference system at some of its stores, which is being used by people in charge of inheritance procedures.

On that day, I connected three stores online, a store in Tokyo, a customer's home in Saitama prefecture, and a customer's daughter's home, explaining the inheritance mechanism and necessary procedures.

According to the trust bank, it is said that inheritance becomes a hot topic every year when the family gathers during the Obon season, and consultation with the trust bank increases.

I usually visit my home to respond, but this time, I plan to introduce and utilize the system at all stores so that the infection does not spread.

“We will continue to promote online consultation as one of the means”, says Chisato Matsuo of the Personal Planning Department. A male customer consulted online said, "I am grateful to be able to consult while reducing the risk of infection."

Sumitomo Mitsui Banking will also introduce an online system by next month at all stores that sell assets such as asset management.

In addition, the Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation is expanding its response by, for example, explaining important matters when buying and selling real estate online.
