“We are preparing, on behalf of the President of Russia, a national program for the development of the Far East, over the period until 2024 more than 2 trillion rubles will be financed for the needs of the Far East,” RIA Novosti quoted Trutnev as saying.
He noted that the funds will be allocated "just for directions related to roads, healthcare, education."
“Therefore, we have 4 busy years ahead. I hope that over the years the situation in the Far East will begin to change noticeably, ”he added.
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin instructed Deputy Prime Minister Yury Trutnev to take control of the preparation of the Far East development program.
