China News Service, Qingyuan, July 14th, Question: Guangdong Yingde Agricultural Products Touched "Electricity" to Help Get Rid of Poverty

China News Agency reporter Guo Jun

"In less than two years, the monthly sales of this experience hall increased from more than 100,000 yuan (RMB, the same below) to more than 1 million yuan, an increase of more than ten times." Deputy Director of Guangdong Yingde Municipal Services Data Administration Ning Lifen said in an interview with a reporter from China News Service.

The reporter recently walked into this agricultural specialty product O2O experience hall located in the Yingde e-commerce industrial park in Qingyuan, where he met the village news officer Xiao Lixin in front of a live broadcast of several mobile phones and introduced Yingde black tea to netizens. On the merchandise shelves next to it, wild Lingzhi, farmhouse peanut oil, kowloon yuba, farmhouse dried vegetables, edible brown sugar, glutinous rice wine, hemp bamboo shoots and other special products of the German and German farming are abundant, and there are endless flow of customers in the store.

As the "aircraft carrier" of Yingde's rural e-commerce, Yingde E-commerce Industrial Park was put into use in 2015, providing rural e-commerce entrepreneurs with a series of targeted services such as product exhibition, e-commerce operation, and talent training.

Yingde is located in the mountainous area of northern Guangdong. It is difficult to sell agricultural products. It has long troubled local farmers. The agricultural products produced by hard work cannot be sold or sold at good prices, and the income of farmers cannot be guaranteed. In order to effectively solve this problem, Yingde has set up a rural e-commerce "Golden Bridge" in recent years, turning agricultural products that are "rotten in the ground" into explosive models.

According to reports, after several years of exploration and practice, the British and German e-commerce industry is now showing a "blowout" development, e-commerce service sites and logistics systems in the city's rural areas to achieve full coverage. The city's total online retail sales rose from 1.5 billion yuan in 2016 to 2.6 billion yuan in 2019. Among them, agricultural product network sales increased from 159 million yuan in 2016 to 840 million yuan in 2019, with an average annual growth rate of 85.2%. Yingde black tea, hemp bamboo shoots and rural tourism three products have become the main force of Yingde e-commerce sales.

"In recent years, we have completely solved the difficulty of selling agricultural products through the rural e-commerce platform." said Song Yonghui, chairman of the Guode Agricultural Cooperative of Guode in Yingde City. In 2019, his cooperative sold more than 5 million yuan of agricultural products through various live broadcast platforms, of which more than 1 million kilograms of sweet potatoes were sold, and he helped more than 200 farmers with whom he signed up an average income of more than 1,000 yuan per mu.

Yang Yang, head of the Yingde home appliance business platform, said. In 2020, the platform's direct sales of agricultural products reached about 1 million yuan through live broadcasting.

It is understood that Yingde is the first county in Guangdong Province to launch a rural e-commerce poverty alleviation project. At present, the rural e-commerce poverty alleviation "1+N" system has been established to solve the two major problems of incubation and channels. Ning Lifen said that "1" is the incubation base of the industrial park, and "N" is a number of rural e-commerce platforms. Only in this way can special agricultural products be turned into explosive products." Through the industrial development model of "base + professional cooperatives + farmers + Internet", the degree of organization of Yingde farmers has been significantly improved. After receiving the order from the rural e-commerce platform, the cooperative will allocate it to the contracted farmers for picking, and the fresh agricultural products can be sent to all parts of the country as soon as possible.

Song Yonghui said that the products of its cooperative are now sold farthest to Heilongjiang, and he would like to further expand the scope of sales for the “Belt and Road” in the future.

The development of rural e-commerce has effectively driven the impoverished rural households in Yingde to increase their income and become rich. At present, the city has cultivated 56 e-commerce poverty alleviation enterprises and created 33 e-commerce poverty alleviation product brand names. In 2019, the sales of poverty alleviation products amounted to 13.559 million yuan, and the provincial sales of poverty-stricken villages and poverty-stricken households amounted to 13.2274 million yuan, directly driving more than 600 poor households to increase their income. Yingde effectively promotes a large number of large households, college students and young people returning home to carry out e-commerce entrepreneurial employment through the implementation of employment assistance and skill training in the field of e-commerce.
