China News Service, July 9, according to the National Bureau of Statistics website, in June 2020, the national industrial producers' factory prices fell 3.0% year-on-year, up 0.4% month-on-month; the industrial producers' purchase prices fell 4.4% year-on-year, up 0.4 month-on-month %. In the first half of the year, ex-factory prices of industrial producers fell by 1.9% over the same period last year, and purchase prices of industrial producers fell by 2.6%.

  Year-on-year changes in industrial producer prices

  Among the producer prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production fell by 4.2% year-on-year, a decrease of 0.9 percentage points from the previous month, which affected the overall level of producer prices of industrial producers by about 3.11 percentage points. Among them, the prices of extractive industries fell by 10.5%, the prices of raw materials industries fell by 8.5%, and the prices of processing industries fell by 2.0%. The price of living materials rose by 0.6% year-on-year, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month, which affected the overall level of industrial producers’ ex-factory prices by about 0.16 percentage points. Among them, food prices rose by 3.2%, clothing prices fell by 0.8%, general commodity prices fell by 0.3%, and durable consumer goods prices fell by 1.8%.

  Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the price of fuel and power fell by 14.2% year-on-year, the price of chemical raw materials fell by 9.4%, the price of non-ferrous metal materials and wires fell by 3.3%, and the price of ferrous metal materials fell by 2.2%; the price of agricultural and sideline products rose 5.8%.

  Monetary price changes of industrial producers

  Among the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production changed from falling to rising, up 0.5% from the previous month, which affected the overall level of ex-factory prices of industrial producers to rise by about 0.40 percentage points. Among them, the prices of extractive industries rose by 4.9%, the prices of raw materials industries rose by 0.7%, and the prices of processing industries rose by 0.2%. The price of living materials changed from a decrease of 0.3% last month to an increase of 0.1%, which affected the overall level of ex-factory prices of industrial producers to increase by about 0.03 percentage points. Among them, the price of food rose by 0.3%, the prices of clothing and durable consumer goods fell by 0.1%, and the prices of general daily necessities were flat.

  Among the purchase prices of industrial producers, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 1.8%, the prices of fuel power and ferrous metals both increased by 1.2%, the prices of agricultural and sideline products increased by 0.4%, and the prices of chemical raw materials decreased by 0.1%.
