Nantes, September 15, 2014, tasting of muscadet wine in a Nantes restaurant - Frederic Brenon / 20 Minutes

Visit a tourist site, leave with a voucher of 20 euros to spend in a restaurant. This is the principle of the tourist operation that the departmental council of Mayenne is about to launch. Like other territories, the department seeks to revive tourism, weakened by the health crisis, and while the majority of French will remain in France this summer.

The device, called Yum, the Mayenne to eat!" ", Provides for the distribution of 15,000 vouchers, to be used until September 30, 2020. To benefit from it, you must first register online, then buy a ticket in a heritage or leisure site among the 38 who participate in the operation (the Château de Lassay or the Robert Tatin museum among the best known). It remains to have fun in one of the 76 partner restaurants. The latter could participate insofar as they could justify that their supply consisted of at least a third of local products.

Specials everywhere

This type of operation is increasing everywhere in France. In Charente and Charente-Maritime for example, some 10,000 vouchers of 100 euros will be distributed to holidaymakers who come to spend a stay of at least two nights.

The city of Angers has launched the "1001 nights" system which allows tourists to be offered an additional night at the hotel.
