Major travel agency JTB does not provide winter bonus this time New corona effect July 8 21:31

JTB, a major travel agency, has decided not to give winter bonuses to employees because the business environment is severe due to the new coronavirus.

Due to the drop in travel demand due to the spread of infection, JTB has reduced the number of domestic travel reservations during the summer vacation period by about one-fifth compared to the same period last year, and overseas travel in August. The business environment is becoming tougher, with the handling being suspended in all countries and regions until the departure.

For the time being, while the travel demand is unlikely to recover, the company has decided not to pay the winter bonuses it provides in December every year to approximately 13,000 employees.

According to the company, it is the first time since 1989 that we can be sure that no winter bonus will be paid.

On the other hand, the summer bonus was decided based on last year's performance, so it was paid last month.

Regarding travel agency bonuses, HIS has also postponed the summer bonus payment due to the worsening business performance due to the spread of infection.
