The Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Plant Hanul Nuclear Power Plant manually stopped the turbines of Unit 2 of the Hanul Nuclear Power Plant at 5:40 am today (4th).
Hanul Headquarters stated that the water quality of the secondary water supply system had deteriorated and the turbine was stopped.
Reactor output dropped by about 1%.
There were no external radiation leaks due to turbine shutdown.
A turbine generator connected to a turbine is used to generate electricity by receiving steam generated by a steam generator.
The steam used here is cooled through a condenser and used again, so it does not come out.
The Atomic Energy Safety Commission said today that it is investigating the cause of the death of Hanul Unit 2 from Hansuwon at 4:36 am.
