After the announcements of Airbus on the abolition of 5,000 positions in France, the Regional Council presented this Friday a recovery plan to aeronautics of 100 million euros over the period 2020-2021, in addition to the national plan of 15 billion euros from the government.

Aid to preserve the 90,000 jobs linked to aeronautics in Occitania, maintain production through diversification and accelerate the transformation towards the industry of the future and strengthen the financial structuring of companies.

Charter for more solidarity in the sector

The objective of this regional plan should make it possible to preserve skills, know-how and jobs within small and medium-sized enterprises in the regions and in the supply chain. To draw up this plan, which supplements the 200 million euros for the ADER 4 plan, working groups including industrial players have been set up.

Nearly 35 million euros will thus be devoted to employment and skills. A charter will thus see the light of day to intensify solidarity in the sector and the commitment of industrial prime contractors. "The idea is to facilitate client-supplier relationships because there is a strong demand for more responsible and respectful practices," said Carole Delga, president of the Regional Council.

To pilot this plan, regional units managed by the State and the Regional Council will be set up.
