The best-selling SUV in Europe is the Volkswagen Tiguan. Going through the lifting box is therefore very important for VW. And it is not one, but two brand new versions that arrive in the catalog.
In rechargeable hybrid…
After the Passat, the Golf and more recently the Arteon, it is finally the Tiguan's turn to be offered in a plug-in hybrid version called here "eHybrid". The recipe is known: a 1.4 TSI petrol accompanied by an electric motor, to deliver a total of 245 hp. In fully electric mode, the Tiguan eHybrid can travel approximately 50 km, at a maximum speed of 130 km / h.
… And in “R” sportswear
At the other end of the spectrum, a sports version was also long awaited: the Tiguan R. Here, the 2.0 TSI petrol engine develops 320 hp, which are sent to all four wheels. The new torque vectoring system not only distributes power between the front and rear axles, but also between the left and right wheels depending on the conditions. This announces surely very sharp behavior.
The VW Tiguan is also updated in terms of driving aids and connectivity. Its 2.0 TDI engines are also getting cleaner, but not all the details have been announced yet.
