Finding a job right now, in the midst of the coronavirus crisis, when companies are mostly weakened by the cessation of their activity, is not easy. Some employers no longer have the finances to hire. Others lack visibility ... They therefore sometimes preferred to break the promises of employment. Many also wait a few months before recruiting.

In the seventh episode of "Profil de l'Emploi", the first LinkedIn podcast in France, produced by Europe 1 Studio, Pauline Laigneau, creator of the online jeweler Gemmyo and voice of the podcast "Le Gratin", helps you overcome this complicated period and gives you three tips for finding a job.

Be in the action. Take advantage of this period of uncertainty to embark on a new job search, try another sector of activity, or seek training, for example. It can also be an opportunity to think about setting up your business. The idea is to overcome the feeling of injustice, even if it is completely legitimate, by acting.

Think about your job search for the long term. Imagine that you are an athlete: to get results, you have to train regularly and for a long time. You have a vision, a dream, try to stay focused on it. And to get there, also continue to be interested in the news of your industry. You can try to meet people from the community, also look at international job offers ... The process may not pay off immediately, but it will certainly have a long-term impact.

Listen to employers. Companies are also going through a very complicated period, recalls Pauline Laigneau. Do not hesitate to send an email to employers who were recruiting before the crisis, those whose advertisements you had spotted, those with whom you had already applied, those who had made a promise to hire. It is certain, they will remember this process. And this positive, understanding attitude can only be an asset when hiring resumes.
