Eliminate regional restrictions on USJ visitors gradually from 20th to nationwide 13:03 on 1st July

The theme park in Osaka, USJ=Universal Studios Japan, has announced that it will limit the number of visitors to the area where they live in order to prevent infection with the new coronavirus.

Osaka's Konohana Ward theme park, USJ, has resumed business since the 8th of last month.

In order to prevent the infection, currently the general public is limited to those who live in the two prefectures of Kansai, but the company announced that it will gradually lift restrictions on the 1st.

From 10th, we will expand the number of people who can enter to 2 prefectures and 4 prefectures in Kansai as well as people who live in Tokai, Hokuriku, Shikoku and Chugoku regions.

After that, from 20th, restrictions will be lifted and it will be expanded nationwide such as the Tokyo metropolitan area.

Until now, admission tickets had to be pre-purchased online, but on the 20th, we will start selling same-day tickets.

On the other hand, the new area with the theme of the popular character "Mario" that was scheduled to open this summer will be postponed and the new opening time will be announced in autumn.

According to the USJ, "We take thorough measures such as limiting the maximum number of visitors to half of the usual number and frequently disinfecting the park, and I want the visitors to enjoy with peace of mind."
