The Albert Heijn to go stores will continue to be present at NS stations in the coming years, the parties announced on Tuesday. Albert Heijn and the NS have decided to continue their collaboration and to look at new growth opportunities.
The collaboration started in 1999, when the first store was opened at the station in Den Bosch. The most recent station branch was opened earlier this month at the renovated Rotterdam Alexander station.
"It is great to see that for 20 years we have been making customers happy together with our range that seamlessly meets their needs while on the road. I am also pleased that we can open shops together again, especially after this impactful period", says Albert Heijn CEO Marit van Egmond.
"It feels good that we can continue the long cooperation with Albert Heijn. The shops help ensure that a visit to the station is a pleasant part of the whole journey," added Roger van Boxtel, NS's CEO. to.
Albert Heijn's convenience stores can now also be found at petrol stations and in the cities.
