By region, production in the US was zero in April, but last month it was more than 55,000 units, down 83% from the same month last year.

Production in Japan decreased by 61% to over 287,500 units.

On the other hand, production in China increased by 6% to more than 426,900 units, showing a clear recovery trend.

By manufacturer, Nissan's decreased 62% compared to the same month last year, and Toyota's decreased 54%, the largest decrease rate since 1972 and 2004, for which data are available.
