The 3.8-liter XK was one of the most powerful production engines of its time. He notably equipped the XK 150, MK IX, MK II, MK X, Type E Series 1 and S-Type, and bowed out in 1968. But here we learn that this cast iron block is now remanufactured , by Jaguar Classic, to whom we owe among other things the reissue of the legendary XKSS.
Sold not far from € 16,000 per unit, this "new old engine" will allow collectors of the brand's most beautiful models to replace a mechanics worn by the years. Please note, however, that they must provide Jaguar with proof that they are already in possession of an original XK engine.
Guaranteed 12 months, these blocks can even, on request, be re-entered with the same serial number as the original, with an asterisk in front to clearly distinguish a vintage XK from its modern reissue.
