TVR Griffith - DR

Created in 1947, the British manufacturer TVR has had an eventful history to say the least. Specializing in the manufacture of light and very powerful sports cars, it changed hands several times before going bankrupt in 2012. Taken over in 2014, TVR presented three years later the Griffith, an elegant 500 hp coupe, the production was scheduled for 2019. But now, to date, the brand still has no employees and even less… a factory to make this car!

While an agreement had been reached with the county council of Blaenau Gwent (Wales, Great Britain) for the rental of a factory, nothing has changed, because TVR has still not demonstrated that he had the necessary funds to embark on this activity. The president of TVR, Lee Edgar, pretends that his delays are due to administrative slowness of the European Union.

Unfortunately, the firm already has a lot of debt. It owes several million pounds to its debtors, and some financial analysts have doubts about the ability of the company to continue its activities, despite the fact that it announces having orders for 40 million pounds (44 million 'euros). For its part, TVR is trying to raise funds of around 25 million pounds (almost 28 million euros) by issuing bonds on the Dublin Stock Exchange. Unsuccessful so far ... In short, if the announcement of the resurrection of the brand had salivated all enthusiasts, history begins to feel the block.
