Eagle Lightweight GT - DR

Produced in just 18 copies during the 1960s, the Type E Ligtweight was a real competition animal, cut out for Touring events. It is to pay homage to this legendary car that Eagle launched its Lightweight GT based on a "normal" Jaguar Type E.

To make this rolling sculpture, all the English panels were replaced by aluminum elements. Necessarily very inspired by the original model of the Sixties, the Eagle however took some liberties, like larger wheel arches allowing to accommodate modern 16 '' rims, fitted with current tires. To avoid weight gain, materials such as titanium or magnesium were used. In the end, the Eagle weighs only 1,017 kg, barely 57 kg more than the original Jaguar Type E lightweight, from which it is also distinguished by its very luxurious interior.

Under the hood hides an XK engine whose displacement has been increased to 4.7 liters, producing 380 hp and a torque of 508 Nm. To make the most of this power, the running gear has been optimized and modernized with adjustable shock absorbers , as well as the brakes which now adopt ventilated discs and 4 piston calipers. Able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in less than 5 seconds and reach a top speed of some 270 km / h, the Eagle Lightweight GT is an extra toy whose price, not revealed, should be higher at 800,000 €! The price of crafts.
