Several merchants whose businesses have been affected by the pandemic have rebuked this morning the Minister of Transportation, José Luis Ábalos, when he was preparing to give a press conference with the president of Adif at the Atocha station.

The minister was about to begin his act when a woman, whose business closed when the state of alarm was declared and who has had to continue paying the rent for her premises during that period, asked her for solutions.

The woman has reproached the minister that these merchants have not had aid during the health crisis, despite having had to close their premises, and has told her that they require 40,000 euros if they want to close the premises.

"That is not so, madam," replied the minister, who assured that the president of Adif will negotiate with each of the businesses. "You keep laughing," the woman reprimanded the minister, who replied: "I am not laughing, I am listening to how you are addressing me."
