“The Russian Ministry of Energy and Rostekhnadzor have begun analyzing the requirements of regulatory legal acts regarding the conditions of fuel storage at power plants in order to develop and introduce changes necessary to prevent situations with pollution of soil and water resources,” the ministry said.

Earlier, the prosecutor's office of the Srednekolymsky district of Yakutia began a check on the fact of a fuel leak at a power plant in the village of Argakhtakh.

According to the Ministry of Emergencies, about 5 tons of fuel leaked into the soil.
