The National Federation of Democratic Trade Unions (Democratic Union of Trade Unions) decided that the minimum wage for next year should be raised to the level of 1,770 won per hour.

According to the KCTU on the 19th, the KCTU confirmed the demand for the next year's review of the minimum wage by the Central Executive Committee.

The KCTU decided to request a minimum wage of 2.25 million won per month for the next year.

The hourly rate is equivalent to 1,770 won.

This is the result of applying 209 hours of working hours per month, which is the standard for converting the minimum wage to hourly or monthly wages.

If you raise the minimum wage (8,590 won) to 1,770 won this year, the increase rate will be 25.4%.

The KCTU estimates that the actual cost of living for workers' households is estimated at 225,702 won next year, and that the minimum wage should be 2,225 million won per month to guarantee the minimum cost of living for workers' households.

The KCTU's request for the minimum wage for next year also included the fact that the weekly allowance should be applied to short-term workers.

The weekly allowance provisions of the Labor Standards Act do not apply to workers with less than 15 hours of work per week.

The KCTU agreed that corporate executives and executives earned excessive income, and decided to demand a plan to introduce their ``highest wage system,'' limiting their annual salary to 30 times the minimum wage in the private sector and 7 times the public sector.

In addition, the government plans to require small self-employed people who have been burdened by the increase in the minimum wage to expand the targets of job security funding and raise the level of payments to support part of their labor costs.

The request for the KCTU also included the requirement to'normalize' the minimum wage input range.

With the revision of the Minimum Wages Act in 2018, the range of minimum wages is gradually expanded year by year, and it is necessary to return it.

The total amount of regular bonuses and welfare benefits falls within the minimum wage range in 2024.

When the minimum wage range is expanded, the employer can avoid the minimum wage violation by raising the actual wage less.

The KCTU presumed that it would pay 200,000 won a month for welfare benefits, and pointed out that if the minimum wage is applied this year, wages can be cut by 3.6%.

The minimum wage deliberation is conducted by narrowing the gap based on the requirements of the workers and employers, respectively.

The minimum wage committee has nine workers, five of whom are recommended by the KCTU, and four are recommended by the KCTU.

The KCTU said, "We will consult with the KCTU to make a common demand for the labor union."
