Lynk & Co 06 - DR

Does the Lynk & Co brand mean nothing to you? It is a Chinese brand whose main shareholder is none other than the Geely group, also owner of the manufacturer Volvo. Ultimately, Lynk & Co models intended for the European market should also be produced in the Belgian factory of the Swedish brand. It was in any case the initial will of the group, but the decision was postponed "sine die".

Modern

From a stylistic point of view, this Lynk & Co 06 displays a certain resemblance to the 01 that we are promised for the fall. We find the front face characteristic of the brand's models, with this wide black strip incorporating the headlights, surmounted by additional optical units for the light signature. At the rear, the style is just as modern, with lights integrated in a large black crossing strip. As for the interior, it takes care of the details, with in particular a luminous insert which runs over the whole of the on-board furniture, and an assembly which, as far as we can judge from the fairly average images, seems very clean.

Rechargeable hybrid

With its 4.34 meters long, this new contender presents a template halfway between a Renault Captur PHEV and a Volvo XC40 Recharge, two competitors who adopt like him a plug-in hybrid engine. The latter displays 258 horsepower and its 11.3 kWh battery allows it to run “emission-free” for 62 kilometers.

A petrol engine is also on the program in China, where the car has just been unveiled, but should not be retained for the European market. We do not yet know when this Lynk & Co 06 will land with us. Maybe we should wait for the results of the 01 expected this fall?
