The communities of Madrid and Catalonia cover more than 40% of the new "non-refundable" fund that the Pedro Sánchez Government distributes due to the pandemic. The Government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso will receive something more than the one that Quim Torra presides over , but both above 3,200 million, respectively. They will add about 6,600 million of the total of 16,000 million that will be distributed after the publication this Wednesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE) this Wednesday. The details of the distribution have not been released by the Ministry of Finance, but a first estimate made by the Ministry of Finance of the Murcian government to which this newspaper has had access points to a list that Madrid and Catalonia comfortably head.

Sources from the Community of Madrid confirm that they expect 3,416 million and the vice president of the Catalan Generalitat, Pere Aragonés , admits about 3,200 million, which he describes as insufficient.

The next most benefited community will be the most populated in Spain, Andalusia, with 2,157 million and the Valencian government of Ximo Puig follows with 1,532 million, always according to the estimate of the Murcian Government. But that in absolute terms, because in per capita terms the list of beneficiaries changes. Although Madrid and Catalonia continue to appear in the top positions (with more than 500 and 400 euros, respectively), La Rioja (416) comes out in third place, in the fourth in the Balearic Islands (388) and in the fifth in Castilla-La Mancha (384) , the three governed by the PSOE. The national average of the distribution is 345 euros per inhabitant and communities such as Galicia (283) and Andalusia (257) are below and Murcia is next to the Canaries of the common regime with 256 euros per inhabitant. They are three examples of communities governed by the PP.

The Minister of Finance of Murcia, Javier Celdrán , considers that with such a distribution "Sánchez condemns Murcia to a slower and more costly way out of the crisis." In his opinion, he should have made a distribution "according to a population criterion". Taking into account not only that factor, but several others, "the feeling we have is that the Government has never sought a fair, equal and equitable distribution, but to compensate and favor those territories and those parties that maintain it in La Moncloa " Celdrán does not object that Madrid is the most benefited, but criticizes that "we are going to receive 174 euros less than a Catalan or 160 euros less than a riojan, an absolutely insulting gap". The Murcian councilor clarifies that this is a preliminary estimate but that it has been corroborated with slight variations in the figures, as it became clear that the fund's transport chapter is going to focus on Madrid and Catalonia, "so the distribution is not actually 16 billion but 15,200 ":

The Minister of Finance, María Jesús Montero , has assured that of the 16,000 million euros, 9,000 million will be used to defray health expenses, 2,000 will be for education and the remaining 5,000 to alleviate the loss of tax revenue and transportation All of them they are non-refundable, unlike loans from the Autonomous Liquidity Fund. The first 6,000 million for health will begin to be distributed this coming July, and the other 3,000 million in November.
