  Meng Wei introduced the status of power generation and investment project approval. In May, my country's economic order returned to the right track, and some industrial physical quantity indicators rebounded significantly. In terms of power generation, in May, power generation increased by 4.3% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 4 percentage points higher than in April. Judging from the data from January to May, the power generation of industrial enterprises above designated size nationwide declined by 3.1% year-on-year, but the decline was narrowed by 1.9 percentage points from January to April. Among them, thermal power and hydropower decreased by 3.1% and 11.3% year-on-year, respectively, while nuclear power, wind power and solar power increased by 5.9%, 5% and 9.3% respectively.

  From the perspective of electricity consumption, in May, the electricity consumption of the whole society increased by 4.6% year-on-year, and the growth rate increased by 3.9 percentage points from the previous month. From January to May, the electricity consumption of the whole society in the country decreased by 2.8% year-on-year. Among them, the electricity consumption of primary production and residential life increased by 7.1% and 5.2% year-on-year, respectively, while the electricity consumption of secondary production and tertiary production decreased by 4% and 6.3% respectively. In terms of regions, the electricity consumption of 10 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) in the country is increasing, and the growth rate of two provinces (autonomous regions) in Yunnan and Xinjiang exceeds 5%. In addition, transportation and logistics operations have basically resumed, and the number of railway loading has remained basically the same as last year.

  Meng Wei said that in terms of investment project approval, in May this year, the National Development and Reform Commission approved a total of 7 fixed-asset investment projects, with a total investment of 129.8 billion yuan, mainly concentrated in transportation, energy and other fields. In the next step, the National Development and Reform Commission will implement the "Government Work Report" to arrange the deployment, pay close attention to the release of the central budget investment plan, promote the formation of physical workload as soon as possible, and expand effective investment.
