In September, between 700,000 and 800,000 young people will enter the job market in France. After the Covid-19 crisis, many of them are worried about their professional future. However, across the country, digital initiatives are being put in place to facilitate recruitment. 

Particularly affected during the Covid-19 crisis, youth employment is one of the major projects awaiting the government. How to find a work-study program or a first job in such an economic context? Local job boards, meeting platform ... Here are some ideas presented on Europe 1 on Monday.

Young people are among the first economic victims of the pandemic. According to a recent study by the World Labor Organization, one in six young people has been unemployed since the appearance of Covid-19, while 700,000 to 800,000 young people have to enter working life in France in September. If by mid-July the government is going to put in place a plan on youth employment, other solutions are possible to find a job. 

Strengthen its network 

To find a job, it is best to expand your network. Now it is even possible to meet recruiters online. This is what the Seekube platform offers. On Europe 1 Monday, its managing director, Paul Cassarino, detailed the operation of this tool. It makes it possible to organize meetings between students, companies and schools to facilitate the start of a young people's career.

Paul Cassarino describes Seekube as a "platform for virtual recruitment forums". The aim of Seekube is "to create a first contact which will allow a candidate to project themselves into a profession, a business, a work environment", specifies the general manager. 

Since confinement, the platform has attracted these young people concerned about their professional future. "We had a lot of requests over the period", explains Paul Cassarino, who indicates that he set up "80 events in two and a half months", that is to say as much as for the whole of 2019.

Noting a concern among students looking for an alternation, Paul Cassarino still wants to reassure. "The market is two and a half months late [so the research will] last until December when generally it is finalized around September and October," he analyzes. "Be patient." 

Apply easily and quickly 

Solutions exist so as not to waste time in your job search. The HucLink company allows for example to have access to offers without sending your CV and motivation letter, simply thanks to terminals located in the public space. The concept aims to "connect candidates and recruiters located nearby", summarizes on Europe 1 Nathalie Daoud, associate director of development at HucLink. The kiosks are thus installed "in self-service in places with strong flow such as stations, airports and shopping centers", she specifies.

How does this system work on the recruiter side? You must first register on the HucLink website and write a job offer (which can also be written by HucLink). "The recruiter will then enter the geographic address of his position to be filled and we will submit the geolocated terminals in the area to him," says Nathalie Daoud.

To cope with "the decline in traffic and dissemination of job offers" during confinement, HucLink has put forward "the QR code technology", explains Nathalie Daoud. This adaptation made it possible to set up more terminals: by the end of June, 53 terminals should exist in France. 

Local websites for a summer job 

Often recruited as seasonal workers, young people are in the sights of tourist departments. This is the case for example in Charente-Maritime: the department launched its first website bringing together 100% local job offers. During the summer, the department is looking, for example, for seasonal agricultural jobs related to cognac viticulture or oyster farming.

Via the site emploi17.fr, "it involves putting job seekers who may be young, not so young and beneficiaries of the RSA" in contact with recruiters, describes Dominique Bussereau, president of Charente Maritime and president of the assembly of the departments of France.

The initiative works thanks to "a geolocation system and matching skills and needs," he adds. Telephone assistance is also available to support candidates in their process. Launched in the midst of a crisis, the website displays a promising assessment: it brings together nearly "3,000 people, including nearly 200 at RSA", according to Dominique Bussereau, who notes the presence on the site of "nearly 600 positions offered in agriculture , real estate, catering or even trade. " 

The creation of this website was initiated by the Loir-et-cher department, the first to have launched. In total, 25 departments have joined this local website project. What imagine a global collaboration. "We could perhaps consider linking our platforms when we have enough departments," predicts Dominique Bussereau.
