Diesel, the best-selling fuel, worth 1.2092 euros per liter, up 1.82 cents compared to the previous week ... The prices of road fuels sold at service stations in France continued to climb last week, at a faster pace. For its unleaded 95 gasoline, sells for 1.3125 euros, up 2.39 cents. As for the SP95-E10, which contains up to 10% ethanol, it gained 2.50 cents, at 1.2964 euros.

Finally, the SP98 was sold 1.3692 euro, or 2.51 cents more, according to data from the Ministry of Ecological and Solidarity Transition. This is the fourth week of a straight increase for diesel after a long period of decline in the wake of oil prices, victims of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Crude prices collapsed with the Covid-19 pandemic

Fuel prices at the pump vary according to several parameters such as the price of a barrel of oil, the euro-dollar exchange rate, the level of stocks of petroleum products and demand, as well as taxes.

Crude oil prices had collapsed with the Covid-19 pandemic which affected activity and in particular demand for transport. They have since recovered somewhat thanks to the fall in production undertaken by certain countries and the prospect of a recovery in demand.
