China News Service, June 15th, according to the National Bureau of Statistics website, the National Bureau of Statistics today announced changes in commodity housing sales prices in May 2020. Kong Peng, chief statistician of the City Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, explained that the sales price of newly built commercial housing in all tier cities has slightly increased month-on-month, and the increase in second-hand housing is the same as last month or slightly expanded.

  Kong Peng said that in May 2020, overall efforts to promote epidemic prevention and control and economic and social development achieved positive results, production and living order continued to recover, housing demand was further released, the real estate market in 70 large and medium-sized cities was generally stable, and prices rose slightly.

  The increase in the sales price of newly built commercial housing in all tier cities has slightly expanded, and the increase in second-hand housing is the same as last month or slightly expanded. In May, preliminary estimates showed that the sales prices of newly built commercial housing in four first-tier cities rose by 0.7% month-on-month, and the increase was 0.5 percentage points higher than last month. Among them, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen rose 0.5%, 0.8%, 0.3% and 0.6% respectively. Second-hand residential sales prices rose 1.1% month-on-month, the same rate as last month. Among them, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen rose by 1.8%, 0.6%, 0.4% and 1.6% respectively. The sales prices of newly built commercial housing in 31 second-tier cities rose by 0.6% month-on-month, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month; second-hand residential sales prices rose by 0.4%, the same increase as the previous month. The sales prices of newly built commercial residential buildings and second-hand residential buildings in 35 third-tier cities rose by 0.7% and 0.3% month-on-month, respectively, an increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous month.

  The year-on-year increase in the sales price of newly built commercial housing in first-tier cities was the same as last month, and the increase in second-hand housing increased; the increase in second- and third-tier cities continued to decline. In May, preliminary calculations showed that the sales price of newly built commercial housing in first-tier cities rose by 2.9% year-on-year, the same increase as last month; the sales price of second-hand housing rose by 4.1% year-on-year, an increase of 1.1 percentage points from the previous month. The sales prices of newly built commercial housing and second-hand housing in second-tier cities rose by 5.4% and 2.0% year-on-year, respectively, and the growth rate fell by 0.2 percentage points from the previous month, and both fell for 13 consecutive months. The sales prices of newly built commercial residential buildings and second-hand residential buildings in third-tier cities rose by 4.8% and 2.1% year-on-year, respectively, and the growth rate fell by 0.3 percentage points from the previous month, which was the same or fell for 14 consecutive months.
