“On January 10, 2020, Gazprom Export sent a notice to Eni SpA about the commencement of arbitration due to disagreements between the parties regarding the interpretation of the provisions of contracts for the supply of natural gas,” the Russian company said in a report for the first quarter of 2020.

On February 11, 2020, a response was received from Eni SpA representatives.

It is noted that at the moment the parties agree on the candidacy of the chairman of the arbitration tribunal, which will consider the dispute of the two companies.

In early June, it was reported that the Polish Competition and Consumer Protection Committee (UOKiK) filed a lawsuit against Gazprom for lack of cooperation during the antitrust investigation.
