The yen exchange rate at 5 pm was JPY 106.93 to JPY 95, which was 40 yen higher than the 10th, and the dollar was weaker.
Against the euro, 1 euro = 121.50-54 yen, which is 42 yen higher than the 10th and the euro is weaker.
The euro was 1 euro = 1.1362-$64 against the dollar.
A market official said, “The US dollar has strengthened due to the view that the low interest rate environment will continue in the United States for a long time. Homes are increasingly cautious about the outlook for the economy."
