The automotive market is recovering after the Coronavirus crisis. The aid is working at full capacity and should be taken advantage of because in July there will be no more.

It is off again and it is a relief for the entire automotive industry. After two months of complete breakdown, car sales are recovering.

The dealers are breathing, the French have not lost their taste for the automobile during confinement. On the contrary: they even have a little more money aside, they haven't gone on vacation, savings levels have never been higher. Ideal conditions for making a large purchase. Finally, the entry into force of the new conversion bonuses on June 1 has really boosted visits to the concessions. The system is clever since it is based on the principle of "there won't be one for everyone". Only the first 200,000 customers will be entitled to a bonus. And according to the CCFA, the builders' committee, at the speed at which the premiums are leaving, the envelope will be exhausted in July!

These premiums are also valid for used cars.

It is important to emphasize this because many dealers have inventory of used cars on their hands which they absolutely must sell to replenish their cash after two months of confinement. In addition to these bonuses of 3,000 to 5,000 euros, which can get rid of an old car, there are also bonuses for the purchase of hybrid or electric vehicles, up to 7,000 euros this time at most. This destocking is good news: it will allow an entire industry to resume a correct level of production. The market had to restart at all costs. Hoping it won't be a flash in the pan.
