Dubai Ports World Group has announced the completion of its acquisition of a 51% stake in TIS container terminal at Yuzhny Port in Ukraine, after meeting the required conditions, including the necessary regulatory approvals from the relevant government authorities.
This project will represent the second partnership of "DP World" with the shareholders in the container terminal "TIS", where the first partnership was successful with "P&O Maritime Ukraine", by providing towing services in the main sea ports on the Black Sea in Ukraine .
The acquisition is expected to expand the operations of "DP World", in addition to enhancing the position of "TIS" station, one of the main container terminals in Ukraine, by taking advantage of the "DP World" network that includes ports and economic areas. , Warehousing solutions and land logistics solutions.
This acquisition will also contribute to increasing the flexibility of trade in Ukraine during difficult economic times, and will give «DP World» the ability to provide a unique product for the Black Sea by connecting its container terminals in the ports of Constanta «Yarimka» to the container terminal «TIS», through its network «Unifider »Short-term coastal shipping.
