“Among the main objectives of the document is to satisfy domestic demand for energy and export development,” the press release said.

The strategy assumes that by 2024 the level of gasification of the Russian regions from 68.6% will increase to 74.7%, and by 2035 it will be 82.9%.

In addition, by 2024, it is projected to increase energy production, export of fuel and energy complex (FEC) products, as well as increased investment in the industry.

In April, the government approved a draft energy strategy for Russia until 2035.

According to the Ministry of Energy, the implementation of the strategy will help maximize the country's socio-economic development, as well as strengthen Russia's position in the global energy sector.
