Today, the Union Cooperative revealed its budget of 14 million and 682 thousand dirhams to support suppliers of goods and products to its branches.

She stated in a statement, that her step comes within the framework of her social responsibility, and contribute to accelerating the recovery of the economic sector in Dubai and the UAE in general.

Khalid Hameed bin Theban Al-Falasi, CEO of the Federation, pointed out that in terms of patriotism and contribution alongside the government in support of the economy, the Union Cooperative launched an initiative to support the national economy, to ensure business continuity, and contribute to mitigating damages Negativity caused by the Corona pandemic.


He pointed out that the "cooperative" had previously allocated, from the beginning of the pandemic, an initial amount of 17 million dirhams, to support preventive measures and initiatives and government agencies to confront the pandemic, so that the total allocated support exceeded 31 million dirhams.


He added, "The cooperative operates as a national economic entity that dominates the nation's interests over material interests and goals."

Al Falasi stressed that the "Union cooperative" is aware of the current challenges due to the Corona pandemic and its negative effects on all sectors, explaining that the cooperative formed a working group to study the current conditions of suppliers in its commercial outlets, to provide appropriate support to them, to ensure the continuity of their work and mitigate the impact of the pandemic on them.


He stressed that the "Union Cooperative" works continuously to provide products and commodities to all segments of society, in addition to its work to provide sustainable food stocks that contribute to maintaining the stability of markets and prices.
