The 7,700 La Poste offices will remain open in July and August and 200 additional seasonal service points will be set up in tourist areas, the group announced on Thursday, also providing "more than 2,000 seasonal jobs". "While the 2020-2022 Postal Postal Presence Contract which links La Poste, the State and the AMF (Association of Mayors of France and Presidents of Inter-municipal Authorities) allows for summer closings in the postal network, La Poste has decided not to apply these measures, ”explains La Poste in a press release.

"The objective of this special measure established for the summer of 2020 meets a double objective: to contribute to the attractiveness of tourist areas and to support, alongside professionals, craftsmen, traders and liberal professions, the local economic recovery", continues- she. To do this, La Poste plans in particular to "strengthen access to cash" by ensuring that "almost all ATMs will be operational throughout the summer", especially in tourist areas and in municipalities " where only a La Banque Postale distributor is present ”.

In addition, withdrawing cash from a postal checking account or a postal savings account "is now increased to 500 euros per seven-day period and per account, compared to 350 euros previously," explains La Poste. This system is accompanied by the recruitment in the second half of June and throughout the territory of more than 2,000 seasonal jobs, "especially for students at BAC + 2 level".
