Gao Feng emphasized that after the return of Hong Kong, the mainland and Hong Kong have continuously deepened mutually beneficial economic and trade cooperation, and the status of Hong Kong's free port and separate customs zone has been maintained and consolidated, " This fully demonstrates that Hong Kong’s high degree of autonomy is working well."

  Gao Feng pointed out that the decision of the National People's Congress on establishing and improving the legal system and enforcement mechanism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to safeguard national security is aimed at a very small number of acts that seriously endanger national security, "does not affect the high degree of autonomy of Hong Kong, nor does it affect the various rights enjoyed by Hong Kong residents in accordance with the law. This right and freedom will not damage the legitimate interests of foreign investors in Hong Kong. On the contrary, it will help maintain Hong Kong’s business and investment environment, maintain Hong Kong’s long-term prosperity and stability, and facilitate the implementation of the'one country, two systems' practice."

  Gao Feng said that if the United States disregards the basic norms of international relations and adopts unilateral measures in accordance with its domestic laws, it will violate WTO rules and will not be in the interest of the United States. "We will unswervingly implement the policy of "one country, two systems", resolutely oppose the interference of external forces in Hong Kong affairs, firmly support Hong Kong in maintaining its status as a separate customs zone, and firmly support Hong Kong in consolidating and enhancing its status as an international financial, trade and shipping center.
