“The main goal of the plan is to overcome the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus and reach stable GDP growth rates, which will allow us to steadily increase real incomes of citizens. This task will be achieved through a whole range of measures in various areas, ”Mishustin said during a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The prime minister added that, in particular, we are talking about increasing investment activity, using digital technologies, raising the level of education, and increasing the pace of construction of quality housing.

“By the end of the recovery period, we must reach sustainable long-term economic growth that exceeds the pre-crisis level,” Mishustin said.

He noted that to date, a number of anti-crisis measures have already been taken: maintaining the incomes of citizens, both working and unemployed, families with children, lowering business costs, in particular, deferrals for the payment of taxes and social contributions were provided.

“Implementation of support programs for the most affected sectors has also begun,” the prime minister said.

He noted that he was especially careful about the risks of rising unemployment.
