Yesterday (22th) we pointed out a loophole in which emergency disaster assistance funds were duplicated. Our report went out and it was confirmed that all 110 households received disaster relief funds twice in Incheon alone. The government is figuring out whether other local governments have this.

<Reporter> On the

4th, the government preferentially paid disaster aid to cash to 2.86 million households of vulnerable groups such as livelihood benefits and basic pensioners.

The city of Incheon added 50,000 households of the upper class to the priority payment.

The reason for this is that Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, did not have its own subsidies, so the complaints were flooded.

The government, local governments, and credit card companies were able to add targets before the integrated computer network was established, so it was not possible to filter out the subsidy received by the credit card by applying for a credit card.

[Mr. A / Disaster funding double payment: I found it through the local community center, so I guess you answered my phone and looked at the odds (overlapping payment cases). It's been overlapping for quite a lot of people. They were not self-reporting.] After the

SBS report, Incheon City investigated and found that 110 households and approximately 89 million won were duplicated.

As I was receiving a basic pension, I first received a disaster relief fund in cash, but in some cases, I applied for a second-tier class and received another fund through a local card.

Incheon City strengthened the guidance so that disaster relief funds are not duplicated today (23rd), and sent an emergency notice to the community centers to promptly collect the amount of duplicated funds.

The Ministry of Public Administration and Security investigated whether there were cases of duplicate payments to other local governments besides Incheon City.
