Along with this, the Shiga factory in Otsu, where the production is conducted, will be closed.
The timing of the closure has not been decided due to the need for consultation with business partners, but it is said that about 350 employees working in the factory will be relocated to another business or factory to maintain employment.
Renesas Electronics has recovered its final profit from the deficit of the previous year to 11.2 billion yen due to the increase in sales of semiconductors for industrial use for the three months ended March.
