Resumption of activity adapts to protection measures against the spread of the coronavirus. Thus, the real estate sector where the conduct of visits is now strongly impacted by the threat of the Covid-19. Europe 1 was able to support a young couple looking for accommodation in Calvados.

Little by little, life resumes its course. If the real estate sector has remained completely shutdown for two months, the confinement making any visit impossible, activity has been felt again since Monday with house or apartment visits. However, they must adapt to compliance with the rules of social distancing to limit the risk of contamination with the coronavirus. Reportage.

This 80 m2 with terrace and garden in Asnelles, west of Caen and just 15 minutes' walk from the sea, Alexandre and Charlotte dreamed of it during all the confinement. It is the first purchase of this couple who wanted to visit this property as quickly as possible, once the deconfinement started. "We dreamed about it for two months ... in the photos," admits the young woman.

A visit under high protection

Alexandre is a firefighter, and Charlotte is a nursing assistant. For this young couple, barrier gestures have therefore become a reflex. They had everything prepared before coming, notably by wearing gloves. "We do not know if we are contaminated or not, we will not risk passing it on to others. It is also to preserve the owner's house," explains Alexandre.

Real estate agent Magali Saint-Michel appreciates the civility of his two clients: "Yesterday, I made a visit that did not go at all in the same way ... I had people who touched everything , who had no gel. " She herself wears a mask, but lives it much more difficult, often with shortness of breath. "It's unbearable. It dehumanizes everything. I need to be in contact with people, to see them smile or not," she says.

She is however convinced that the houses with the garden will sell like hotcakes after these two months of confinement ...
