The number of confirmed corona19 patients in Korea increased by 18 on the 9th due to group infection at the Itaewon-dong Club in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

There were 17 cases of community infection and 1 case of foreign influx.

The Central Quarantine and Prevention Headquarters announced today that the number of corona19 confirmed patients at 0:00 on the 9th was 18, more than 10:00 on the previous day, totaling 1,840.

As of the announcement date, the number of new confirmers per day was 18 on April 18, and it has remained below 20 on the 22nd after entering 10.

However, there is concern about the spread of infection in the community as a group infection has occurred at Itaewon Club.

17 out of 18 new confirmed cases are classified as cases of community infection in Korea.

As the suspected early outbreak of Yongin 66 confirmed (29) visited the Itaewon Club in Seoul, the corona19 outbreak was spreading around the metropolitan area.

Of the 17 people in the area, 16 were from the metropolitan area.

There are 12 in Seoul, 3 in Gyeonggi, 1 in Incheon, and the rest in Busan.

One case of overseas inflow was reported in Gyeonggi-do.

No additional fatalities occurred for two consecutive days, with a total of 256 deaths from 00:00 on the 7th to 00:00 on the same day, with an average fatality rate of 2.36%.

The number of confirmed cases that were completely isolated and released from quarantine increased by 84 to 9,568, while the number of confirmed cases being treated was 1,16.
