To provide identity verification data when opening accounts with megabanks and some local banks May 7 17:01

Megabanks and some regional banks have begun offering a service to provide other companies with the identity verification data they get when opening a savings account. The aim is to improve convenience by eliminating the process of identity verification at securities companies and card companies.

This service will be started jointly with NEC and other banks, including Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Mizuho Bank, three megabanks, and regional banks such as Yokohama Bank and Fukuoka Financial Group.

Each bank shares personal information such as the user's name, address, and face photo obtained in the procedure of identity verification when opening a savings account with a system developed by NEC, and other than the bank, subject to the consent of the individual. We provide it to business operators.

If this service is used by a securities company, a card company, or a company that handles cashless payments, you can skip the procedures for opening a securities account and registering as a member, and complete identity verification online.

The service is scheduled to start in June, and it is said that users will be able to significantly reduce the time required for procedures such as mailing documents from days to weeks.

Banks and NEC want to ensure the security of personal information.
