“The meeting participants discussed the issue of providing subsidies from the federal budget to Russian airlines in 2020, which faced a decrease in revenue amid falling passenger traffic due to coronavirus,” RIA Novosti reports.

In addition, a package of amendments aimed at creating the conditions for a quick response to new challenges was presented.

The meeting was led by Acting Prime Minister Andrei Belousov.

Earlier, President Vladimir Putin proposed allocating more than 23 billion rubles as a measure to support the aviation industry.
