Certain sectors are beginning to prepare for the end of the crisis due to coronavirus and containment. The number of seasonal job offers has exploded for this summer. The temporary employment agency Qapa has registered more than 250,000 offers of this type, reports BFMTV on Tuesday.

Unsurprisingly, agriculture is the main sector which recruits with no less than 200,000 offers listed in this area. With the closing of the borders, the foreign laborers who serve at harvest time will most likely not be able to come to France. The other sectors looking for seasonal workers are mass distribution, the food industry, logistics as well as the field of cleanliness and hygiene.

Numerous candidates too

Note that the hotel and catering industry, one of the main recruitment sectors for the summer, is for the moment in uncertainty and still awaiting the resumption of activity.

In addition, faced with this abundant supply of jobs, demand has also exploded. In total, the Qapa agency has counted 500,000 application files. "This large volume of candidates currently available everywhere in France has been reinforced by the large number of students who no longer have classes until October and who are therefore actively looking for work for the summer," explained on the site of Qapa its president Stéphanie Delestre.
